US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he hoped other Arab nations would also establish diplomatic relations with Israel.
Pompeo said, “I hope other Arab nations will join it as well.” He said, “By working together with them, recognizing and working with the Israeli nation will not only bring stability in the lives of the people of West Asia but will also improve the quality of life of the people of their own country.” This agreement is being considered as a major achievement of the foreign policy of President Donald Trump, who is presenting his claim for this post again this year. Iran is gaining widespread traditional Arab support for Palestine, and the UAE diplomatic relationship with Israel is seen as a major success.

Declaration of agreementThe US, Israel and the UAE announced an agreement to establish full diplomatic relations this month, which was supposed to put on hold plans to annex some of their occupied portions of the West Bank. Palestine has been demanding this area as part of its future nation. During the visit Pompeo is also scheduled to meet Netanyahu’s partner and defense minister Benny Gantz and foreign minister Gabi Ashkenazi in the government. The US Secretary of State will also visit Sudan, UAE and Bahrain after Israel. Their additional stay in the Gulf is also possible.
